Hello!

Have you noticed all the awesome holiday gift sets and limited edition releases for this holiday season? This is the first post on some holiday gift ideas for the upcoming gift-giving season.

Today's gift category: An all-encompassing gift or gift set

My personal pick:

theBalm's Balm Jovi Limited Edition Face Palette, AUD44.95 from David Jones (http://shop.davidjones.com.au/djs/en/davidjones/balm-jovi-limited-edition-face-palette). What it includes: 12 eyeshadows, 1 blush, 1 highlighter, 2 lipgloss/lipsticks. This is a compact palette which has almost everything you'd need (sans mascara, dedicated eyeliner) for a fully made up face. Click on the link for a comprehensive review with swatches.

Revlon Summer Sunset Set, AUD$34.95 from David Jones (http://www.revlon.com.au/xmas). I have to admit, Revlon do some good gift sets. They're always good value for money. I like their nail polishes, and their lip butters. What it includes: Classic Nail Enamel in Charismatic' ColorBurst Lip Butter in Peach Parfait; ColorStay 16 Hour Eye Shadow Quad in Decadent and; a glittering coin purse. Valued at $60.85 by Revlon.

Too Faced "Love Sweet Love" Limited Edition Collection, AUD$64.95 from Mecca Cosmetica (http://www.meccacosmetica.com.au/shop/TooFaced/LtdEdLoveSweetLoveCollection/). This is a nice all rounder at a good price, it's one of my favourite gift sets out there this season. Too Faced do great blushes and bronzers and their gift sets are always pretty. What it includes: "Book of Love" contains 6 eye shadows, 2 blushes, 2 lip glosses; Full-sized LashGasm Mascara; Shadow Insurance Eye Primer (0.17 oz.); Perfect Eyes eyeliner in Perfect Black (0.03 oz.); Primed & Poreless Face Primer (.5 oz.); exclusive "Teddy Bear Hair" face brush and; exclusive gold embroidered velveteen makeup bag.

Estee Lauder Michael Kors Red Collection gift set, AUD$125, from David Jones (http://www.esteelauder.com.au/begifted#/shes-worth-it). This is getting pricey, but it's a nice set. What it includes: Passion Shimmer & Lover's Blush Shimmer; Pure Color Long Lasting Lipstick in Coral Sun; Pure Color Gloss in Pink Kiss Shimmer; Pure Color Intense Kajal Eyeliner in Blackened Black; Pure Color Nail Lacquer in Hot Coral; Deluxe Pure Color Blush Compact in Alluring Rose Satin, Peach; Sumptuous Extreme Lash Multiplying Volume Mascara in Extreme Black and; the Red Michael Kors Cosmetic Bag. Valued at over $300 by Estee Lauder.

Estee Lauder Ultimate Colour, AUD$120 with any fragrance purchase of over 50mL. I know Estee Lauder isn't a brand commonly used by us 20-somethings, because although its great quality, it's also really expensive and the colours are very classic (basically it markets to and attracts  an older audience). Even with that in mind, this gift set is amazing. Look at it!  The only catch is that pesky "50mL" or more. Estee Lauder fragrances are not cheap. They also don't come in 50mL, from memory. They come in 30mL, 60mL and over. I wanted to buy last year's version of this but I didn't really like any of their fragrances and though I've heard great things about their serums, I couldn't afford them. If you like their fragrances and/or can afford other things in their range, this would be great. What it includes: 2 deluxe eye and cheek palettes in Smokey Plums and Soft Neutrals, each of which comes with a sponge applicator, mini blush brush and instruction cards for looks to create with the palette; 3 full size lipsticks and a gloss; Sumptous Extreme Mascara; 2 Kajal Eyeliners (black and dark blue); 4 brushes; a 100mL Gerde Eye Makeup Remover and that nicely sized red bag you see in the photo. Valued at over $690 by Estee Lauder.

I hope I've helped with your gift-giving dilemmas!
